Description
abm | KLK4-KLKP1 Stable Expressing RWPE-1 Cell Line | T6391
Pseudogenes have recently been implicated in gene regulation in cancer cells. The KLK4-KLKP1 pseudogene is found in more than 30% of prostate cancer patients and represents a rare case where a non-coding pseudogene is converted into a protein-coding gene. This stable cell line was generated by transducing the immortalized prostate cell line RWPE-1, using lentiviruses expressing the KLK4-KLKP1 gene. The transgene enhances cell proliferation, invasion, and tumour formation, as well as cause changes in gene expression. This cell line is useful for studying the role of KLK4-KLKP1 in prostate cancer development, and its possibility as a therapeutic target in drug screening studies.
