Description
abm | miR-34a Stably Expressing K562 Cell Line | T6450
K-562 cells were purchased from ATCC (ATCC CCL-243™) and transfected with miR34a lentivirus vectors. Stable clones were established with puromycin (0.6µM) selection. miR34a has been used in sickle cell anemia research by studying its relation to fetal hemoglobin expression (Ward et al.). K-562 cells can be use for in vitro assay of natural killer cells (Pross, et al.). Pross HF, et al. Spontaneous human lymphocyte-mediated cytotoxicity against tumor target cells. IX. The quantitation of natural killer cell activity. J. Clin. Immunol. 1: 51-63, 1981. PubMed: 7334070
