Description
abm | Recombinant Human CTGF | Z102029
Secreted by vascular endothelial cells, CTGF is a regulatory protein that has been shown to stimulate the growth of chondrocytes, promote angiogenesis and mediate cell adhesion of fibroblasts and endothelial cells. The binding of CTGF to heparin induces cell migration and adhesion.
Functions:
Determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of HUVEC cells. The expected ED50 for this effect is 1.0-2.0 µg/ml.
Organism:
Human
Source:
E. coli
Alias:
CTGF, CCN family member 2, Hypertrophic chondrocyte-specific protein 24, HCS24, Insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 8, IBP-8, IGF-binding protein 8, IGFBP-8
Recombinant Human Connective Tissue Growth Factor (CTGF)

Formulation:
Lyophilized from a 0.2µm filtered solution containing 0.1% TFA
Solubility:
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in sterile distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.

<1.0 EU/μg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method.
Shipping Condition :
Ambient Temperature
Storage Condition:
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
