Description

abm | Recombinant Human Eotaxin-2 (CCL24) | Z100185

Eotaxin belongs to the platelet factor-4 family of chemokines. The gene symbol is SCYA11. The factor is being referred to also as Eotaxin-1 and has been renamed CCL11. Eotaxin induces substantial accumulation of eosinophils in the skin without significantly affecting the accumulation of neutrophils. Eotaxin is a potent stimulator of both guinea pig and human eosinophils in vitro. The Eotaxin receptor is a G-protein-coupled receptor selectively expressed in human eosinophils.

Functions:

Activity was determined by the ability to induce chemotaxis of purified eosinophils at concentrations ranging between 50-100 ng/mL.

Organism:

Human

Source:

E. coli

Alias:

CCL24, C-C motif chemokine 24, CK-beta-6, Eosinophil chemotactic protein 2, Myeloid progenitor inhibitory factor 2, MPIF-2, Small-inducible cytokine A24

Gene Symbol:

CCL24

Gene ID:

6369

Accession:

O00175

Formulation:

Recombinant Eotaxin-2 was lyophilzed from 0.2 μm filtered concentrated (1.0mg/mL) solution in 100m M NaCl, 10 mM PB, pH 7.0.

Solubility:

A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.

Appearance:

Lyophilized Powder

9

Molecular Weight 2 (kDA):

N/A

Molecular Weight 3 (kDA):

N/A

Purity:

>95% as determined by SDS-PAGE

Concentration:

<1.0 EU/μg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method.

Shipping Condition :

Ambient Temperature

Storage Condition:

The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
