Description
abm | Recombinant Mouse Eotaxin (CCL11) | Z200035
Eotaxin belongs to the platelet factor-4 family of chemokines. The gene symbol is SCYA11. The factor is being referred to also as Eotaxin-1 and has been renamed CCL11. Eotaxin induces substantial accumulation of eosinophils in the skin without significantly affecting the accumulation of neutrophils. Eotaxin is a potent stimulator of both guinea pig and human eosinophils in vitro. The Eotaxin receptor is a G-protein-coupled receptor selectively expressed in human eosinophils.
Functions:
Activity was determined by the ability to chemoattract human peripheral blood eosinophils using a concentration range of 0.1-20 ng/mL.
Organism:
Mouse
Source:
E. coli
Alias:
C-C motif chemokine 11, Eosinophil chemotactic protein, Small-inducible cytokine A11, SCYA11

Accession:
P48298
Formulation:
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS
Solubility:
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.
Appearance:
Lyophilized Powder

<1.0 EU/μg of recombinant protein as determined by the LAL method
Shipping Condition :
Ambient Temperature
Storage Condition:
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
