Description
abm | Ryanodine Receptor 1 Stable HEK293 Cell Line | T3037
Ryanodine receptors (RyR) are intracellular calcium channels located in the sarcoplasmic reticulum and the endoplasmic reticulum, and they mediate the release of calcium ions during muscle contractions. RyR are structurally and functionally similar to the inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate receptors (IP3R), which is responsible in initiating intracellular calcium signaling pathways. Mutations to the receptor have been observed in numerous diseases states. The Ryanodine Receptor 1 Stable HEK293 Cell Line stably expresses functional RyR1 calcium release channels, thus providing a valuable tool for pharmacological investigations in the function and mechanisms of calcium release channels activity, and in depth biophysical studies of the RyR1 receptor.
