Description

abm | Luciferase Antioxidant Response Element Stable MCF7 Cell Line (AREc32) | T6103

Luciferase Antioxidant Response Element Stable MCF7 Cell Line was developed from a human mammary cell line that was stably transfected with a vector containing an SV40 promoter, firefly luciferase gene and the rat Antioxidant Response Element (ARE) sequence. This ARE gene functions as a transcription regulator which turns on the expression of proteins and enzymes that exhibit antioxidant properties and work together to protect the body from harmful oxidative effects. This cell line has been previously used in research focused on cancer therapeutics and their ability to activate the antioxidant pathway. This cell line also could be used in further research to study antioxidant effects on the cellular level and their relationship to cancer and other diseases.
