Description

abm | Recombinant Human MIP-3 (CCL23) | Z100695

CCL23 (MPIF-1, CK8, SCYA23), a member of the CC chemokine family, was originally isolated from a human aortic endothelial cell library and from the human monocytic cell line THP-1. It is most closely related to MIP-1 and interacts with its receptor CCR1, which is expressed on monocytes, dendritic cells, lymphocytes, and endothelial cells. Functionally, CCL23 has chemotactic activity for monocytes, DC, lymphocytes, neutrophils, osteoclast precursor cells, and endothelial cells. In contrast, CCL23 reduces the proliferation of progenitor cells giving rise to granulocyte and monocyte lineages, whereas it enhances angiogenesis of endothelial cells

Functions:

Determined by its ability to chemoattract human T cells using a concentration range of 2-40 ng/mL.

Organism:

Human

Source:

E. coli

Alias:

CK-beta-8, CKB-8, MIP3, Myeloid progenitor inhibitory factor 1, MPIF-1, Small-inducible cytokine A23, MIP3, MPIF1, SCYA23, CCL23, C-C motif chemokine 23

Recombinant CCL23 was lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered 20 mM PB, 100 mM NaCl solution pH 7.5.

Solubility:

A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to a concentration not less than 0.1 mg/mL. This solution can then be diluted into other buffers.

Ambient Temperature

Storage Condition:

The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
