Description
abm | Stable PML Knockout Hep-2 Cell Line | T6038
The Stable PML Knockout Hep-2 Cell Line was generated from HEp-2 cells by transfection of CRISPR/Cas9 targeting exon 1 of promyelocytic leukemia protein (PML). PML is a component of nuclear domain 10 (ND10) and an antiviral effector of IFN- β. In the absence of PML, the antiviral effects of IFN- β are significantly reduced. This makes the Stable PML Knockout Hep-2 Cell Line a useful model in antiviral treatments and experiments. The PML gene is also associated with a wide range of important cellular processes including tumor suppression, transcriptional regulation, apoptosis, senescence, and DNA damage response which can all be further studied using this cell line.
