Description
abm | Recombinant Human NOV | Z102079
Protein NOV homolog is a secreted, regulatory protein found mainly in muscle and nervous tissue which interacts with many molecules, including fibulin 1C, CCN2, Connexin43 (to regulate the suppression of cell proliferation) and S100A4 (trigger activation of calcium channels). By signalling through an integrin pathway, NovH promotes both cell migration and adhesion. Increased levels of NovH have been found in some tumour cells and in most nephroblastomas while decreased levels of this protein may also promote tumour growth.
Functions:
Measured by its ability to mediate Balb/3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cell adhesion

NovH, Insulin-Like Growth Factor-Binding Protein 9, CCN family member 3, IBP-9, IGF-binding protein 9, IGFBP-9, Nephroblastoma-overexpressed gene protein homolog

The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
