Description
abm | Recombinant Human TGFA | Z101935
An EGF family member, TGF-A is a cytokine that is produced following the protease digestion of its trans-membrane precursor proTGF-A. TGF-A is expressed both in normal tissues during embryogenesis and in adult tissues, such as the brain, keratinocytes, and macrophages and at high levels in transformed and tumour cells.
Functions:
Measured in a cell proliferation assay using Balb/3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cells. The ED(50) for this effect is typically 0.10.4 ng/mL.

Storage Condition:
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least one year from date of receipt at -70°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2° - 8°C for one month, or at -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein without detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
